A number of top clubs have sent their scouts to watch Eintracht Frankfurt midfield wonderkid Hugo Larsson, according to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive column for the Daily Briefing.

The 19-year-old is establishing himself as one of the most exciting talents in Europe at the moment, and one imagines it’s going to be increasingly difficult for Eintracht Frankfurt to keep hold of him.

Still, for now Romano insists the Bundesliga outfit are going to do their best not to let go of Larsson, whilst also stressing that there is nothing particularly concrete happening with this potential transfer at the moment.

It’s obviously normal for top clubs to send their scouts to watch the best young players, so Larsson was always likely to come onto their radar, but it seems we’re still some way off from any negotiations or offers taking place for the Swedish teenager.

Discussing Larsson’s situation in today’s column, Romano said: “Hugo Larsson – An exciting young player attracting interest, but I don’t have anything specific in terms of clubs moving yet, it’s too early and also I expect Eintracht Frankfurt to keep him in January 100%.

“He’s attracting interest in terms of clubs travelling to scout and follow him, but nothing more concrete than that so far.”

Leeds United manager, Daniel Farke, looks like he will have a number of decisions to make in the lead up to, and during, the January transfer window.

Much will depend on how well placed the all whites are at the beginning of the new year, as to whether the German decides to shuffle his pack or keep the status quo much as it is at the moment.

That would include keeping Robin Kock at Eintracht Frankfurt, a situation that appears to be on the verge of being turned from a loan arrangement into a permanent one.

According to Sport 1, the Bundesliga side have no intention of allowing Koch’s transfer to be short-term.

The outlet also go on to say how both player and club believe the move has been perfect for all concerned and that there appears to be a clear plan to undertake negotiations once the January transfer window opens for business.

Farke would, apparently, be open to doing a permanent deal, and there’s bound to be an expectation from the manager that any fee could be re-invested in his squad for the second half of the Championship campaign, particularly if Leeds are still in the running for promotion.

It would seem that all that remains to ensure the deal is done is that a fee is agreed.

The future of Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace is in doubt amid interest from several Premier League clubs and the Eagles already have a potential replacement lined up.

According to TEAMtalk, Palace are monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt’s Willian Pacho as a replacement for Guehi should he leave in 2024. It has been reported recently that Manchester United have a strong interest in the centre-back, while Arsenal and Tottenham are also admirers of the England international.

With three years left on his current contract, Crystal Palace are in no rush to sell the defender, but just in case an offer comes in that is too good to turn down, Pacho could be the man they move for to replace Guehi.

The Ecuador international only joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Royal Antwerp in June in a deal worth £8m and his performances in Germany this season have already made the Bundesliga club value him at £35m.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano says Hugo Ekitike will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

The talented young Frenchman hasn’t quite got going at PSG yet, and it seems he will be allowed to move on after being on the list of both Crystal Palace and Eintracht Frankfurt in the recent past, according to Romano in his exclusive Daily Briefing column.

Ekitike could be an exciting signing for someone like Palace, who would surely benefit from bringing in a top young attacking player to build around for the years to come.

The 21-year-old would surely also do well to consider a move to Selhurst Park as it would give him the chance to play more regularly again after previously catching the eye at Reims but failing to progress into the first-team very often at the Parc des Princes.

Hugo Ekitike to Crystal Palace?

It remains to be seen if Palace will definitely be back in for Ekitike, however, so this looks like an open situation ahead of January.

“Hugo Ekitike – The young forward will leave PSG in January, let’s see which clubs will try to sign him as it remains a quiet situation at the moment,” Romano said.

“It will be one for December. Crystal Palace had him on their list but then nothing else concrete, he was also on Eintracht Frankfurt’s list.”

Paris Saint-Germain are aiming to complete two major signings before tomorrow’s transfer deadline, according to French football expert Jonathan Johnson in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside.

The journalist states that there could also be outgoings at the Parc des Princes in the next 24 hours or so, but that their priority is to sign at least one of Randal Kolo Muani or Bradley Barcola, and ideally both.

Johnson notes that Kolo Muani has been doing his bit to force his way out of Eintracht Frankfurt, while Barcola has also been in Paris in an attempt to finalise a move to PSG.

It’s been an interesting summer of change for PSG, with new manager Luis Enrique now set to have a pretty new-look group of players to work with.

Kolo Muani and Barcola would be two more exciting additions, with both looking like ideal players to strengthen Enrique’s attack for both the present and future.

Randal Kolo Muani could be on his way to PSG

“The transfer deadline is looming and it could be a busy next 30 hours or so for PSG, with potential deals for Randal Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola the ones to watch,” Johnson said.

“PSG will definitely try to get both of those deals done, and both players are in Paris at the time of writing in the hope of tying up those moves.

“Crucially, we know that Kolo Muani has refused to train with Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of their European clash with Levski Sofia as he looks to put pressure on his club to allow him the move.

“Meanwhile, Barcola has been one of PSG’s priorities since the start of the window and the situation at Lyon means they’ve allowed him to travel to Paris to complete the move.

Bradley Barcola to swap Lyon for PSG?

“Still, in order to get those signings over the line PSG will also have to sell one or two players and Hugo Ekitike is in that group. It’s not worked out as PSG hoped it would for him since his arrival so he could potentially be on the move.

“West Ham have been interested and asked PSG about him, as have Brentford. Eintracht Frankfurt could be there too, though they’re keen to keep those discussions separate to those involving Kolo Muani.

“Marco Verratti is another potential exit, with the Italian midfielder being lined up for a move to Qatar, which is a bit of a surprise destination for such a high profile name, but it also speaks volumes for how his form and fitness has declined in the last couple of years.

“There are a few others in the so-called ‘loft’ at PSG that still haven’t found takers. There was interest recently from Crystal Palace in Julian Draxler, but that hasn’t come to fruition, while Georginio Wijnaldum has been the target for a number of Saudi clubs over the summer – whether or not that can be done in the next couple of days is not as much of an issue as the Saudi transfer window remains open for a while longer, but PSG will hope there can be destinations for a few of those players.

“Overall it looks like being a busy end to the window for PSG, with the focus being on getting at least one of Kolo Muani or Barcola through the door, but really the aim is to complete deals for both of them.”

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani will push for a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, with the French giants expected to try again to land the forward before Friday’s deadline.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive column on CaughtOffside’s Substack, with the reporter explaining that the player is keen for the move to go through, with PSG seeing a bid rejected for him as they prepare to try again to get a deal done as long as the conditions are right.

Kolo Muani has impressed in his time in the Bundesliga and it would be interesting to see him alongside fellow France internationals Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele in PSG’s attack this season.

Time is running out for the clubs to get a deal done, but it does seem that this is one worth keeping an eye on until Deadline Day.

Randal Kolo Muani wants a transfer to PSG

Providing an exclusive update on the situation, Romano said: “Randal Kolo Muani will push with Eintracht Frankfurt for a move as he already agreed five year deal at PSG. He wants the move, he will insist.

“PSG have had a bid rejected but want to try again but not at crazy conditions, so it has to be something smart for both sides. Negotiations will continue.”

Paris Saint-Germain could make one more big signing before the end of the summer transfer window with a move for Randal Kolo Muani, according to French football expert Jonathan Johnson in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside.

The France international has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, and it will be interesting to see him linking up with fellow countrymen Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele at PSG.

Kolo Muani has the potential to have a big impact in this new-look PSG side, with new manager Luis Enrique needing to freshen things up in attack after the departures of both Lionel Messi and Neymar this summer.

Johnson also says that Kolo Muani’s impressive form in Germany caught the eye of Bayern Munich, but it now looks more likely that he’ll be heading to the Parc des Princes this summer.

Randal Kolo Muani looks set to join PSG

“Despite already signing Goncalo Ramos at central striker this summer, we’re now seeing progress being made on PSG bringing in Randal Kolo Muani as well. As has been widely reported, negotiations are now expected to advance, with the player keen on the move,” Johnson said.

“The France international is a name that the Ligue 1 giants have been eyeing for some time. Kolo Muani enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga and also caught the eye at the World Cup in Qatar so it was no surprise to see the likes of Bayern Munich linked with him fairly swiftly. However, PSG worked their way up to the top of the list of admirers and could now land him before this window closes.

“Things have stepped up this week with Neymar, Leandro Paredes, Abdou Diallo and Renato Sanches all freeing up further space on the wage bill to enable Luis Campos greater room for manoeuvre in what has already been a busy summer.

“The beauty of Kolo Muani is that he can score and provide goals as well as working hard from the front which makes him compatible with the likes of Ramos, Mbappe and Dembele.

“Obviously, a quality all-French frontline was part of the vision sold to Mbappe one year ago as he renewed so it is linked, in part, to him. However, Mbappe’s contract is yet to be extended and Kolo Muani as a fellow Bondy boy could further aid Parisien hopes for this outcome. Mbappe aside, though, Kolo Muani would be a quality addition.”

Ligue 1 journalist Jonathan Johnson has provided some insight into Elye Wahi and his transfer from Montpellier to Lens despite also being linked with other big names like Chelsea.

Wahi showed himself to be a hugely promising young talent with his performances in Ligue 1 last season, and it’s not surprising that he’s ended up securing a move to a Champions League club.

According to Johnson, writing in his exclusive weekly column for CaughtOffside, Wahi would have been more of a signing for the future at Chelsea, whereas he can immediately play at a high level with his move to Lens.

Johnson added that Lens ended up signing the 20-year-old as an alternative to Chuba Akpom, who ended up moving to Ajax instead.

Elye Wahi was superb in Ligue 1 last season

“Elye Wahi made a move that took everyone slightly by surprise as he made the switch from Montpellier to Lens after links with a number of other top clubs around Europe,” Johnson said.

“Still, I think it is a great move for the player and club. Lens were closing on Chuba Akpom before he favoured Ajax and that was a bit of a blow so this was a nice pivot to sign a player in Wahi who needed the step up in level with European experience for a club who needed to replace a major source of goals in Lois Openda.

“Wahi has shown that he can score regularly in Ligue 1 and will now get a taste for Europe while Lens can further develop a player who is already being watched by Europe’s top clubs. It is a better fit than being loaned to Strasbourg so it is little surprise to see Wahi jumping at the opportunity and it us also heartening to see such a significant deal done between French clubs which are not PSG.

“Frankfurt will likely continue to pursue Ekitike and Chelsea had Wahi as one for the future and not now which was perfect for Lens who will make him an immediate starter across all competitions.”

Some Chelsea fans may be disappointed not to have signed Wahi, who could surely have come in and solved the Blues’ issues up front straight away, given the team’s issues in that position for the last few years.

French champions Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a huge play for Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani worth over €70m.

That is according to Foot Mercato journalist, Santi Aouna, who reports that PSG will make a new offer to Frankfurt on Monday worth €70m plus bonuses as the Ligue 1 club look to develop an all-French front three alongside Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.

The France international has already agreed personal terms and a 5-year contract with the Paris-based club and the transfer now relies on both sides agreeing a fee for the player.

This would be a huge addition for PSG but on the other hand, a blow for Tottenham, who are looking to replace Harry Kane with Kolo Muani, as reported by GFFN.

Spurs lost their star striker to Bayern Muncih this summer and the 24-year-old would have been an adequate replacement. The forward scored 23 goals and assisted 17 more across 46 matches last season and it is clear to see why he would have been an ideal replacement for Kane. However, it looks like PSG will win the trade if Frankfurt decides to sell the player, leaving the North London club to look elsewhere.

Chelsea have been among the clubs interested in Montpellier striker Elye Wahi this summer, but he’s also a target for Eintracht Frankfurt and seems to prefer that move, according to Fabrizio Romano in the latest edition of his exclusive column for CaughtOffside.

Romano has also linked Wahi as someone liked by West Ham United, but it seems the highly-rated young Frenchman has his heart set on a move to the Bundesliga next.

This could perhaps make sense as we’ve seen a number of top young French players do well in Germany in recent times, such as Moussa Diaby, Marcus Thuram and Manu Kone, as well as Randal Kolo Muani at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Wahi could be an exciting signing for Chelsea to give them more quality up front after the struggles of Romelu Lukaku, but it now looks like this one may be slipping away from the Blues, who are also closing in on signing Deivid Washington instead.

Elye Wahi in action for Montpellier

“Chelsea also continue to be linked with Montpellier striker Elye Wahi, but my understanding is that the player’s preference is Eintracht Frankfurt,” Romano said.

“Chelsea made two bids for him but, after signing Deivid Washington, it looks more difficult as player is also attracted by Eintracht project.

“West Ham are also admirers of Wahi, while both the Hammers and Chelsea are also among the names to have shown an interest in Mohammed Kudus this summer.”
