Empoli lost their last Serie A outing 2-0 to Monza, with a brace from Andrea Colpani for Monza. Empoli were unlucky not to score in this game, having 18 shots with 6 on target, but failing to find the back of the net.

Juventus drew their last Serie A game 1-1 with Bologna. Lewis Ferguson opening the scoring for Bologna, followed by an 80th minute equaliser from Dušan Vlahović.

Spurs have reportedly agreed to a £17.2m deal with Empoli to sign goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

That’s according to Sky Sports News’ Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, who is reporting the 26-year-old shot-stopper is on his way to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite being locked in talks to sign David Raya from Brentford, the Lilywhites recently cooled their interest after the Bees failed to budge on their £40m asking price.

According to Corriere dello Sport, West Ham are interested in signing Belgian sensation Koni de Winter during the January transfer window.

The report from the Italian newspaper reports (26 November, page 24) that the player is being pursued by number of Premier League clubs including the West Ham and Southampton.

Koni de Winter currently plays for Serie A club Empoli on loan from Juventus, where his current contract runs until 2026.

Despite the interest, it is reported that the 20-year-old ‘wants to stay at Juventus‘ and become a regular in the first team with them.

His value has risen significantly after his excellent form at Empoli and according to the report, any club who wants to sign would now have to pay around ‘£10.3m‘ for him.

Kurt Zouma’s injury, which required surgery, has prompted West Ham to look for a centre-back during the winter transfer window. He is out for a long time, and David Moyes needs defensive reinforcements, but whether he can sign one in January remains to be seen.

The Belgian is a versatile defender who can also play in midfield. He has made eight appearances in Serie A so far and is regarded as one of the country’s brightest prospects.

Leeds United are interested in signing Empoli left-back Fabiano Parisi, as per La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Since the start of the transfer window, the club has been particularly concerned about the left-back position, especially after selling Leif Davis and then having Junior Firpo injured in pre-season.

And to be fair, Pascal Struijk has done an admirable job filling in on the left side during the injuries to Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas. He is not, however, a long-term solution.

The Italian’s agent admitted that the player could leave in January or in the next summer with Leeds amongst the clubs interested in signing the left-back. While speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Mario Giuffredi said:

“I consider him a great team player. He (could leave) in January or (next) summer.” 

“He’s (a player) of the highest standards. He can aspire to important goals. We had many clubs (showing an interest); from Atalanta to Torino to Fiorentina, Leeds and Nice.

“In agreement with Empoli, we decided to wait.”  

The report suggests that the Italian side will be ‘willing to sell’ for around £8 or £10 million despite him extending his contract a few weeks ago. The report also names Juventus and Lazio as the two other clubs interested in signing the youngster.

According to his agent, Leeds United reached an agreement to sign left-back Fabiano Parisi from Serie A side Empoli earlier in the summer.

Mario Giuffredi, the young defender’s agent has come out and said that other clubs like Atalanta, Torino, Fiorentina and Nice also struck similar agreements but the player ultimately decided to stay put.

However, Giuffredi has not ruled out a January move and suggestions that Leeds United could be in the mix again are still very much there.

Speaking to the Italian media, Giuffredi said: “Yes, the last few days of the market have been very hectic. I consider him a great team player, he can be the transfer man for January or for the summer.

“He is of the highest standard. He can aspire to important goals. We had many clubs, from Atalanta to Turin to Fiorentina, Leeds and Nice in agreement with Empoli but we decided to wait.”

The defender joined Chelsea in 2017 but has been playing with other clubs over the last three seasons. Ampadu has played for RB Leipzig, Sheffield United and last season he spent the campaign on loan in Italy with Venezia. The youngster has only made 12 appearances in a Chelsea shirt, with just the one coming in the Premier League.

The Wales international has a contract at Chelsea until 2024 and with the London club lacking defensive options this season, it seems like it is now or never for the 21-year-old.

However, there is a World Cup in November and Ampadu needs to make sure he is in top shape for that tournament. Hence, why a loan makes sense for him this season as he will need regular minutes leading up to Qatar.

According to Alfredo Pedulla via SportWitness, Newcastle are eyeing a deal for the youngster, rivalling Serie A winners AC Milan.

The journalist claims the Magpies have now requested an interview with Empoli to discuss the possible transfer.

Asllani is an Albania under-21 international, and still only 20, he has racked up 34 appearances across all competitions this season.

He is a defensive midfielder by trade, but he has scored four times and assisted twice, helping Empoli to finish 14th.

It’s always interesting when two brothers sign for a club, because allegations will always be made that one was signed just to keep the other one happy.

AC Milan clearly signed Gigi Donnarumma’s brother Antonio to keep him happy, Chelsea had enough Hazard’s to make a separate team at one point while Kaka’s brother Digao managed six years at Milan without bothering the first team.

In many ways it makes sense when signing a youngster from a foreign country, but this example actually sounds like both brothers are immensely talented in their own right.

According to a report from 90min.com, Arsenal are looking to sign Hamed and Amad Traore who are both impressing in Italy just now.

Hamed is the oldest at 20 years old who plays at Sassuolo, while Amad is only 17 but has played for Atalanta’s senior team three times this season.

The deal for Hamed could be tough as he’s currently half way through a two year loan spell from Empoli. On top of that Sassuolo have an obligation to buy but it seems that Juventus also have an option to buy him as well.

As for Amad, it’s suggested that Atalanta wouldn’t just allow him to go on the cheap, so it could be a costly operation to sign both of them.

Nothing has been agreed at this point and the complexity of the deals does mean this could be a drawn out process, but Arsenal fans should keep an eye on both names to see what happens next.
