Jadon Sancho – There is still no price for Sancho, it will be important to see if it’s a permanent transfer or a loan – they will be open to any opportunity, though of course they’d probably favour a permanent transfer. Still, they know that in January it won’t be easy to find someone willing to pay something in the region of, and this is just my opinion, £50-55m, is not going to be easy. There is no change at the moment, no apology from Sancho, so it looks 90% over between him and the club. It’s similar to the situation with Cristiano Ronaldo a year ago – it’s really complicated, and Erik ten Hag doesn’t want any difficulties like this inside the club – FULL STORY HERE

Takefusa Kubo – In terms of replacing Sancho, there have been reports about Takefusa Kubo and in my opinion he would be a fantastic option, Kubo is a top player. But I’m afraid there’s absolutely nothing concrete happening there from what I’m told. Kubo is a crucial player for Real Sociedad, also Real Madrid are still keeping an eye on him for the future. Kalvin Phillips – From speaking to sources, it’s very likely for Kalvin Phillips to leave Manchester City in the January transfer window. That’s the idea, that’s the feeling, because the player both in public and in private has been very clear that he wants to play as a starter – FULL STORY HERE

Ivan Toney – The feeling of sources is that Toney’s asking price could be around £60-65m – Brentford would ideally want more than this, but the feeling at the moment is that for that kind of price the deal could be done – FULL STORY HERE

Aaron Ramsdale – The Aaron Ramsdale situation could be one to keep open, but at the moment I’m not aware of any negotiations. The goalkeeper market is a bit different from outfield players – it’s not easy for a goalkeeper to find a top club who can guarantee playing time – FULL STORY HERE

Cole Palmer – Chelsea deserve immense credit for the signing of Cole Palmer, because he’s been fantastic. West Ham and Brighton also wanted Palmer this summer, but Chelsea were ready to pay a big amount of money to Man City to make it happen, and it made the difference. For me, Palmer was also absolutely ready to play at Manchester City’s level too, but City have so many top players and so it’s understandable that they decided to sell when the right offer came in – FULL STORY HERE

Some reports in Germany are making big claims about the future of Jamal Musiala at Bayern Munich. His contract is due to expire in 2026, and at the moment it’s true that there is no agreement with Bayern over a new deal.

Liverpool have been linked with Musiala, but trust me it would not just be Liverpool, there are many important clubs around Europe keeping an eye on Musiala.

As well as Musiala, we’re also seeing Liverpool transfer rumours involving some other big names, and I wanted to address those stories here.

Firstly, we’re seeing Florentino Luis’ name coming up a lot. Some fans have been asking me about links with Liverpool, and also with Manchester United, but I’m afraid I’m not aware of anything concrete at this stage. We had those links also in the summer but nothing concrete happened. The only club trying to sign Luis in July was Nottingham Forest but Benfica rejected every approach. Still, I personally believe he’s absolutely ready to make the next step in his career, he’s a very good player.

Another name coming up with Liverpool is talented young Fluminense midfielder Andre. I think he could have a chance to move in 2024, but we will see what happens in terms of negotiation with Fluminense – it won’t be easy as they are always strong in negotiations. But Andre is absolutely ready for the next step – he’s very talented, and has a great mentality.

Man Utd takeover update

We start today with an important update on the Manchester United takeover – Sheikh Jassim is prepared to withdraw his bid for the club. We have to wait for the official steps, but that’s the feeling now.

So, what happened? In recent days, Sheikh Jassim and his group had new discussions and negotiations with the Glazer family advisors. They presented a new proposal to buy Manchester United, but their answer was a very clear ‘no’. The current official market value of Manchester United is $3.2bn – what Sheikh Jassim bid was almost double that…

The first one is Harry Maguire, who had chances to leave in the summer. Still, despite new links with West Ham, I’m told Man United have not received any approach from West Ham at the moment. We will see in December, but at the moment there are no discussions ongoing.

What’s really going on with Lionel Messi?

As reported yesterday, despite the many rumours and stories on the Lionel Messi situation following Inter Miami being eliminated from the playoffs, the truth at the moment is that there is nothing happening with a potential loan back to Barcelona.

Messi is not currently negotiating with any club, he is focused only on his upcoming games with Argentina, and then the expectation is for Inter Miami to play friendly matches in a tour of Asia. After that, Messi would have a vacation for three or four weeks before pre-season starts with Inter Miami.

Romelu Lukaku agreement in place

I have important information on Romelu Lukaku. He’s started excellently at Roma, and there is an agreement in place for Lukaku to be made available in summer 2024 for a fee of around £37m. Any club can pay that fee for Lukaku as Chelsea don’t want to spend another whole summer negotiating for him – FULL STORY HERE.

Duo could leave Manchester United

I expect Scott McTominay’s situation in January to be exactly the same as it was in the summer – back then there was a meeting with Erik ten Hag to decide and make lists of players who could be allowed to leave, and others who would only be sold if an important proposal comes in.

Despite rumours about Juventus and Roma, I’m not aware of anything concrete between Jadon Sancho and Italian clubs. I’ve been checking about these clubs’ plans, but a winger is not a priority for them in January, they’re happy with the players they have in that position.

Bruno Guimaraes’ release clause revealed

I have to stress that Bruno signed a new contract because he’s very happy at Newcastle. He’s also going to receive an improved salary because he’s shown what a top performer he can be in the Premier League.

Jadon Sancho exit a concrete possibility

A lot of you keep asking me for updates on Jadon Sancho, and to be honest the situation is still more or less the same – the only way for Sancho to return to the Manchester United team is to apologise to Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff.

From what I’m hearing, at the moment Borussia Dortmund have not started concrete contacts to bring Sancho back, but it’s still very early. We will see in the next months. There’s no clarity yet on Dortmund’s strategy for January as it also depends on their UCL group outcome.

Ian Maatsen could be sold if he doesn’t sign a new deal

Having come close to leaving in the summer, what’s the latest on Ian Maatsen’s future at Chelsea?

Maatsen is out of contract in the summer and so that’s why Chelsea want him to sign a new deal as soon as possible. Conversations will continue, Chelsea are still insisting, but at the moment there is no agreement.

Pedro Neto is having a fantastic season, he’s really performing at a super level recently and in particular against Manchester City this weekend, so what’s his situation?

Of course, he’s a Wolves player and we need to respect that and to allow them to enjoy this incredible talent, but, at the same time, there is the feeling that in 2024 we will see important clubs coming in for Neto. There’s no clarity at all on price tag now, also because in the summer for Wolves it was not even a topic to sell Pedro Neto, he was untouchable.

Arsenal have been tracking the player, they know the player very well, and they wanted him last year, but there are also other clubs keeping an eye on the situation. Many clubs are considering Neto as a target and they know he’s a very good player, though I can’t name these clubs as of now. But as I said, in 2024 Neto’s situation could be one to watch.

Obviously it’s not been an easy start to the season for Manchester United in general, and we tend to notice more when it’s a star player like Rashford not performing, but from what I’m hearing from everyone close to the player and the club, he is trying his best, and it’s felt that it is just a matter of time before we see him back to his best level.

There is no panic, no alert, from those with an understanding of how things are looking in United training sessions.
